L70 Master of Disaster and Emergency Response

Disaster and emergency response is a cornerstone of emergency practice on an international basis. While many courses focus upon disaster and emergency management this course focuses on response and providing the emergency services practitioner with a broad understanding of dealing directly with issues associated with coping and coordinating the scene of a major incident or disaster and providing support to those involved. The course builds on the growth in emergency response by employing unique delivery and interactive software developed for the program. This 180 credit point 9 unit program enables eligible emergency responders to pursue their need for lifelong learning and the acquisition of advanced skills to meet the requirements for employment in an advanced emergency response role and will qualify extended scope responders to meet the demand of the industry and health care system.
