282 Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood Studies)

The Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood Studies) course provides appropriate teacher preparation for persons who have obtained a Bachelor degree from a university or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution and who seek employment as Early Childhood educators in a range of settings including, kindergarten, pre-primary and junior primary classrooms, which cater for children in the 3-8 years age range.

 

This course offers a qualification to be eligible to teach. In order to teach in Western Australia applicants need to register with the Western Australia College of Teaching.  Intending applicants should visit the WACOT website to ensure they will be eligible for registration upon completion of the course. http://www.collegeofteaching.wa.edu.au/member_policy.html

 

Please note that registration requirements across all States of Australia vary and therefore applicants should refer to the relevant State Registration body for registration guidelines.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants who have successfully completed a Bachelor degree (UG1) or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution may apply for a place in the Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood Studies).

Selection is made on the basis of academic qualifications.

Application may be made prior to the completion of the first degree course.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
