Y26 Bachelor of Criminology and Justice Honours

 

The Bachelor of Criminology and Justice (Honours) involves one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study on successful completion of the Bachelor of Criminology and Justice, or equivalent three year degree in a relevant domain at another institution.  The Honours course is designed for those students who demonstrate strong academic abilities and who wish to pursue a career in academia or research within the field of Criminology and Justice.  This course is designed to provide a substantial intellectual challenge to eligible students, while consolidating and building upon the research and writing skills specific to their discipline.

 

The Honours course in Criminology and Justice comprises both coursework and thesis units.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to achieve an average mark of 70% or higher in the Bachelor of Criminology and Justice, or an equivalent undergraduate course.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All Honours applicants must submit the following documents with their application:

  • CV or resume
  • Academic transcripts
  • An outline of your research topic

All units are available on-campus with the exception for CRI5111.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

The Bachelor of Criminology and Justice (Honours) requires a minimum of 120 points (6 units) and normally requires one year full time study or the part time equivalent.  The Honours course is comprised of both coursework and research thesis components.
