WAAPA00063 Use new technologies in dance and music
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS
 
Description:

Introductory studies in the use of new technologies and concepts in music for dance composition and performance. Classes will be practical where possible, encouraging creative thinking about the relationship between sound and movement. The practical aspect will also extend to hands on classes on setting up a sound system, a MIDI system and an introduction to the possibilities of interactive movement generated computer music. The primary source for research on the topic will be the internet, where students will be encouraged to establish links and communication with practitioners in the field world-wide.
