CRI2602 Police Operational Safety and Tactics I

Description:

This unit delivers operational safety and tactics required by the operational police practitioner, including the appropriate and safe use of police vehicles.  It introduces students to the ethical and professional application of basic self-defence, tactical options and incident management skills.  It does this by requiring students to consider theory and practice related to these skills and to demonstrate these skills in supervised practical applications.  This unit is available only to students who have been accepted for employment by the Western Australia Police and will be taught at the Western Australia Police Academy in collaboration with ECU staff.
