WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:

Ideas and production concepts are discussed and resolved through the production of creative works in one or more media relating to the discipline-specific studies undertaken in Principal Studies 3.   A professional level of accomplishment in the discipline will allow the student to independently initiate original work and processes, fully engage in the collaborative process, lead teams, problem solve, make decisions and coordinate activities.  Communication skills of a concomitant standard will be demonstrated throughout the process of creating a major body of work which will be underpinned by substantial research and development. This unit may be undertaken in one of the following disciplines: costume, design, lighting, sound, stage management, staging or directing.
