BPD2104 Production Practice 2B
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS
Credit Points: 15

Description:

This unit develops the process for specific disciplines in performance production through a range of practicum. In this unit students undertake the roles of practitioners with significant responsibility in production processes.  Students choose a specialist pathway through a study program in one project area. Units at this level seek to develop aesthetic and technical skills acquired in first year through a range of skill based practicum, which in turn encourage a dialogue between research methodology, conceptual development and advanced technical processes. This unit is undertaken in one of the following disciplines: stage management, lighting, design, costume, sound, staging and directing. This unit establishes a relationship between methodology and practice in performance environments. This unit allows an introduction to new technologies.
