ECE1101 Growth and Development 0-8 Years

Description:

This unit is designed to provide students with a sound understanding of the important principles and theories of growth, development and learning, which guide effective early childhood practice.  Examination of the biological, environmental and social forces that impact on diversity of growth, learning and development are considered.  Connections between theory and practice are made through in-depth observations, planning learning experiences and through ongoing critical reflection and analysis. Students complete 10 days of distributed workplace learning as part of this unit.
