Description: | |||
During this teaching practice, student-teachers will be expected to further develop and consolidate the skills acquired during preceding teaching practice experiences. Student-teachers will be required to demonstrate the ability to plan a series of lessons to develop a skill, theme or concept; develop further competence in teaching whole-class groups, small groups and individuals. Planning should show coherent organisation and an integrated approach to teaching across the learning areas. Further development in the use of a variety of appropriate teaching strategies, effective classroom management skills, communication, and assessment will need to be demonstrated. Student teachers are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to education; reflective practice and the value life long learning.
