SOA2303 Performance Practice 6 - Level 4
SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ARTS
Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
SOA2301 Performance Practice 4 - Level 3
SOA2300 Performance Practice 3 - Level 3

Description:

This is the first major rehearsal/performance block the students will work on. The work will usually be text based and the students will work as an ensemble. The work will have basic production support (ie. Lighting/sound) and will be open to the school. This will be the first time that students will have performed to a larger audience. Students will work with a professional director on a specific text, typically from the (Modern) Greek repertoire in 'workshop' rehearsal sessions during the semester. Through this rehearsal process students will develop an artistically coherent piece of theatre. As students are introduced to the rigour of technical and dress rehearsals they become aware of the collaborative nature of their art form.
