Description: | |||
This unit is designed to establish a collaborative performance making ethos. The group will initially engage in a series of 'skills' sessions and devising workshops with an emphasis placed on strategy, process and potential outcome (street theatre; site-specific theatre; forum theatre). These 'taught' sessions will take place during the initial part of the semester. The group will then be divided into half each forming a small 'company'. Each group will then be responsible for creating a piece of devised performance of no more than 30 minutes in duration. These performances will focus on a specific ‘community’.
