Description:

Within this unit the student explores a 'non-naturalistic' play text applying a range of appropriate performance skills which are introduced and developed. The study and rehearsal of non-naturalistic plays from Epic, Greek, Absurd and Avant-garde genres introduce the student to new modes of performance. Within this work the student is able to consider the relationship between the performer, the text and the spectator in a variety of social and political contexts.
