Description:

Hospitality Operations Management allows students to develop product and operational knowledge required by food and beverage service businesses. It brings together much of the product knowledge that underpins effective work performance in a range of food service roles and relates to food knowledge and the relationships between different foods and beverages. The unit also focuses on the need for specific product knowledge that applies to those mainly involved in beverage service and providing table service of alcoholic beverages and operating a bar. This unit also deals with the skills and knowledge required to satisfy the requirements for responsible service of alcohol under State/Territory legislation.
