SWK1105 Introduction to Social Research

Description:

This unit introduces students to the theory and practice of social research.  It will provide a critical overview of the major philosophical approaches to social research, including the methodologies and methods, which have derived from these approaches.  This unit has been designed to develop the skills necessary to conduct social research including an understanding of the research process.  The use of information technology and an understanding of the ethical issues that apply to social research will also be included.
