Description:
This unit offers an in-depth study of various teacher preparation processes for teaching-learning in the Society and Environment learning area at the lower secondary level, including planning for excursions and multi level classes. It focuses particularly on planning using the Society and Environment Learning Area Statement, Student Outcomes Statements and the Social Studies K-10 Syllabus. Emphasis is placed on planning for content, skills and values learning within the context of outcomes based learning. Students will explore, and utilise various assessment, recording, reporting and monitoring systems suitable for use in the learning area.
