SSE3303 Teaching Upper Secondary Social Sciences

SSE2213 Planning for Teaching Secondary Society and Environment
 
Description:
This is the main curriculum unit for teaching upper secondary Social Science courses within the Society and Environment Learning Area. The unit includes an analysis of Year 11 and Year 12 Social Science Syllabus documents, teaching strategies to achieve appropriate learning area outcomes including field trips, teaching-learning resources, assessment requirements and evaluation strategies, planning an upper school teaching-learning program in one of the Social Sciences, and state curriculum developments.

Students will have the opportunity to specialise in one of the following upper secondary teaching areas: Economics, Geography, History, Ancient History, and Political and Legal Studies.
