Description:
This unit explores contemporary secondary school Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum and pedagogy with a particular focus on meeting the learning need and interests of young people.  It introduces curriculum models, student-centred strategies and assessment strategies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in HPE. Reflection on experiences during professional practice provide a stimulus for addressing outcomes based education and the development of contemporary HPE programs from teacher and student perspectives.
