Description:
This unit will examine the nature and scope of health and physical education for young children, with a particular emphasis on the role of play. The development of teaching skills will be highlighted together with a study of the curriculum framework to facilitate for the planning, implementation and evaluation of student outcomes in the Health and Physical Education learning area. Strategies to develop children's fundamental movement skills and the significance of integration within and across the learning area will receive special attention.
