ITL1100 Information Technology and Learning

Description:
This unit will encourage students to develop understandings and beliefs about students, teachers, schools and the use of information technology in education. This will be achieved by considering schooling in Western Australia; the nature of both teaching and learning; the personal information technology needs of the student at university; and the potential for the use of computer technology in K-12 teaching and learning. By the end of the unit students will have a fundamental knowledge of the schooling system; the essentials of teaching and learning; library systems (including the Internet); applications software; multimedia software; and the use of computers in schools.
