This unit introduces students to the concept and practice of geragogy (teaching seniors) through exploration of the issues connected with ageing and learning. It examines the principles of teaching seniors, including the differences between working with children and adults in informal educational settings. The skills required to teach seniors and the characteristics of an effective adult educator are explored. A range of creative options and programs for lifelong learning is also discussed. | |||
