This unit focuses on the education of indigenous Australians and addresses the potential impact on learning of cultural and ethnic diversity, social background and gender. Language acquisition, language patterns and the pedagogy of Aboriginal education including learning styles, classroom dynamics and teaching materials will all be investigated. Strategies for increasing toleration, cross-cultural communication and cultural awareness will be incorporated within the unit. Full Unit Outline | |||
