PSY7168 Psycholegal Assessments

Description:

This unit addresses advanced psychological assessment methods relevant to forensic psychological practice including: investigative interviewing, forensic uses of psychometric tests, risk-assessment tools, tools designed to detect malingering, and behavioural observation methods.  The unit also trains students in giving expert evidence in relation to such assessments (giving evidence in chief, managing cross-examination strategies, different oral testimony formats across tribunals, forensic report writing).
