Description:

This unit examines the physiological and psycho-social effects associated with aging, with consideration given to mobility, independence, grief and depression. Students will compare the expectations of the population versus the individual as well as cultural variations. Students will be introduced to the physiotherapist's role in palliative care. Evidence-based best-practice physiotherapy management in gerontology, will be explored.
