In this unit, students will learn the art of therapeutic touch through massage. Students will study normal gait and identify the pathologies behind abnormal gait. Students will become familiar with the application of common assessment tools used in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and the manual therapy treatments of the lower limb. Students will learn how to plan and progress treatments of the lower limb using a client-centred focus. The physiotherapy management of the patient with lower limb orthopedic conditions is also covered. Full Unit Outline | |||
