S34 Graduate Diploma of Planning

The Graduate Diploma of Planning will provide a broad overview of planning practice and processes in WA and Australia in particular whilst providing an introduction to international planning practices.  Students will also be introduced to the context within which the planning and development industries operate with core units in legislation, planning and business knowledge.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in a discipline other than planning OR equivalent prior learning including at least five years appropriate professional experience.  

 

 

ADVANCED STANDING

Students who have completed equivalent units at another institution may apply for advanced standing for those units.

 
COURSE LOCATION
This course is available on Joondalup Campus.

Some units may be available at Mount Lawley

This course is available by Full-time, or Part-time mode.
 
MODE OF DELIVERY
This course is available in the following modes of delivery - On-campus, and Online.

Please note that this course may be completed off-campus (online) although the full selection of elective units may not be available.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

The Graduate Diploma of Planning requires the successful completion of 120 credit points (8 units) and normally requires two semesters of full-time study or the part-time equivalent.

 

The Graduate Diploma of Planning consists of 90 credit points (6 units) of core units and 30 credit points (2 units) of elective units.

Students who are unable to complete the course and have completed 60 credit points (4 units) from the units listed above may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Certificate of Planning with Course Coordinator approval.
