In this unit students will be introduced to the context of local government, particularly in Australia and perspectives on leadership in local government. Through workshops, guest presenters, case studies, site visits, discussion, debate and guided reading students will look at the practice and theory of leadership in the local government context. Students will be introduced to different leadership types and styles, as well as different modes and means of leadership, and will apply learning in a personal action plan. Full Unit Outline | |||
