ERG2202 Language in the Middle Years of Schooling

Description:

The unit builds on the theory and practice in the unit, ERG1101 Literacies and Learners. Students will learn about the nature of the adolescent learner with regards to literacy development.  The role of integration in terms of realistic and purposeful literacy practices will be explored. Strategies to enhance speaking, listening, reading (including viewing) and writing skills through literature and content area research will also be examined. Meaningful and authentic assessment tasks that promote responsibility for learning will be included in this unit.
