LAN3510 Language and Literacy Development in Early Childhood

LAN3410 Language Education 4 ECS
 
Description:
This unit will build on students' own theoretical perspectives on the emergence of oracy and literacy from birth to 8 years of age, and will examine the close relationship between the two in a multi-ethnic society. Students will explore the socio-cultural context of learning in relation to their own teaching contexts. Students will undertake a critical review of the literature in the area and an action research project in their professional context.
