Description:
This practical studio unit is an introduction to painting. Using water-based oils and working through a range of projects, students explore the way the three-dimensional world can be represented in a two-dimensional context. Students can be confident that with application, they will have a fundamental grasp of, and proficiency in painting by the end of the unit. Attention is given to the history of painting, colour theory and the educational value of painting studio practice.
