The Education and Training Minor was designed to provide an opportunity for students to gain knowledge and skills in education strategies and curriculum.  Normally eligible students will be from Faculties other than the Faculty of Community Services, Education and Social Sciences.  As there are no pre-determined units in the minor, students are invited to select from the full range of units in the School of Education.  Choice is determined by two guidelines:

·     six School of Education units (at least two at first year level, two at second year level, and one at third year level);

·     a mix of ‘education’ and ‘curriculum’ units.

This minor does not constitute a teaching qualification nor does it entitle a student to practice placements.  Students should discuss their Study Plan with the Faculty Special Programs Coordinators.
