V98 Graduate Certificate in Broadcasting (Radio)

The Graduate Certificate in Broadcasting (Radio) is designed principally for journalism, media and communications graduates. It may also attract graduates of other disciplines who wish to employ their specialist knowledge in a radio broadcast media setting. The course prepares students for employment as presenters, reporters and producers in radio. Participants are introduced to the range of performance, presentation, technical and people skills required by today's electronic media professionals.

 

Entry to the programme will be by audition and interview. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate some knowledge and practice of journalism. Applicants will require an appropriate three-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, awarded by a recognised tertiary institution, or substantial and relevant industry experience.

 

 
The Graduate Certificate in Broadcasting (Radio) will follow the standard one semester, full time, 60 credit point model adopted throughtout the Faculty of Communications&Creative Industries. The course will have the following structure:

BRO4102 Radio Studio Production 15
BRO4103 Radio News and Current Affairs 15
BRO4105 Radio Broadcasting Practice 15
