Y80 Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) Honours

This Honours degree is a one-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) course which requires the student to complete 120 credit points (five units).

 

Students who are interested in study at this level should consult the Human Biology Honours Coordinator before making an application for admission.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students completing a Bachelor of Science may apply for admission to the Honours course.  In general, a weighted course average mark of 70% or better is necessary.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Honours degree has two components.  The first comprises two or more course work units prescribed by the School of Medical Sciences; the second is the completion of the Honours Thesis under the supervision of School staff.

 
Students in the Bachelor of Science Honours (Human Biology) course are required to complete six units as follows:

HBH5101 Honours Thesis Preparation 1 20 
HBH5102 Honours Thesis Preparation 2 20 
SCH5105 Advances in Human Biology 1 20 
 
Semester 2
HBH5105 Honours Thesis 40
