French isn’t just the language of love. It’s widely spoken throughout the European Union, Switzerland, Canada, Africa and around the world. French is one of the most important languages in the fields of art, aviation, business, communications, dance, diplomacy, high fashion, innovative industries, journalism, literature, music, international politics sport, and tourism. Studying French at ECU gives you the edge in a large variety of careers whether you want to report on haute couture, do overseas aid work with the Red Cross, represent Australia at the UN, work as a tour guide at the Louvre, or become involved with Australia’s biggest two-way trading partner: The European Union. And it couldn’t hurt your love life either.

 

Applicants for the advanced language majors will require WACE 3A/3B, or equivalent language skills in the relevant language.
