I22 Master of Professional Finance and Banking

The Master of Professional Finance and Banking provides an internationally portable qualification, relevant to employment in the financial services sector worldwide. The program is suitable for students whose first degree is in an area other than finance, seeking a comprehensive postgraduate training in applied finance and financial management.

Students may be able to fast-track and complete the course in 1 1/2 years.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An undergraduate degree in an area other than finance and banking OR equivalent prior learning including at least five years appropriate professional experience.

This course is available on Mt Lawley Campus.

This course is available by Full-time, or Part-time mode.
 
MODE OF DELIVERY
This course is available in the following mode of delivery - On-campus.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

Students must successfully complete 180 credit points (12 units) comprising of:

 

Core Units: 120 credit points (8 units); and 

Electives:    60 credit points (4 units)

ECF5660 Financial Modelling 15
 
And four (4) electives (60 credit points) from:
ECF5301 Personal Finance 15
ECF5321 Investment Theory and Practice 15
ECF5324 International Economics and Finance 15
ECF5602 Principles of Personal Risk Management Planning 15
ECF5620 Principles of Superannuation and Retirement Planning 15
ECF5632 Managerial Finance 15
LAW5300 Taxation Law 15
LAW5600 Law of Banking and Credit 15
MKT5709 Services Marketing 15
or other units with the prior approval of the Course Coordinator.
 
Students who are unable to complete the course and have completed 120 credit points (8 units) from the units listed above may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Diploma of Business (Finance) with Course Coordinator approval.

OR

Students who are unable to complete the course and have completed 60 credit points (4 units) from the units listed above may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Certificate of Business (Finance) with Course Coordinator approval.
