WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:
This unit studies cultural history in the context of the performing arts from Greek to the 20th century with the emphasis on visual interpretation. Western European costume is studied from the Greek period to 16th century. Costume history develops an understanding of the silhouette in performance. History of Design introduces the student to specifics of performance design in the historical context. Theatre studies offers a workshop that introduces the student to the structure of Production. Health and Safety is studied.
