Description:

This unit drives the development of a formally proposed and approved research project and corresponding exhibition of major work. Units at this level require resolution of ideas through the research and production of creative works in one or more media, along with a high level of communication skills. Creative works should include substantial background research and development material, along with a clearly identified strategy by which to communicate them. The exhibition or presentation of resulting works should identify an informed understanding of the ethical, cultural, historical and theoretical issues surrounding the work. This unit is undertaken in one of the following studio disciplines: Painting, Print Media, Textiles, Sculpture, Electronic Arts and Design.
