EDS4131 Post-Compulsory Education as a Foundation for Lifelong Learning

Description:

This unit reviews the current developments in Post-Compulsory education in Western Australia. Emphasis will be given to the on-going review of post compulsory education and its impact on the curriculum in schools. Students will be made aware of the major social, political and economic factors influencing such changes. Special attention will be given to Vocational Education and Training (VET) and the importance of Enterprise Education and Career Development across all learning areas in enhancing post school options for students. The implications of these developments on the professional life of teachers will be considered within the practical application of programming, delivery and evaluation.
