Description:
Computer networking has been a major technological driver of business change since the 1980s and networked information systems have always been subject to security threats, especially those which support Electronic Commerce applications. Recent political developments have made system security more important than it has ever been. This unit introduces students to the principles of data communications, networking and security. Students will learn about network design network and management and how to carry out risk assessment and management in E-Commerce and networked environments. The subject matter is taught from a business perspective and a minimal level of technological knowledge is required to study the unit.
