This unit will provide opportunities for the students to examine the purpose and nature of science teaching and learning. The unit will allow students to reflect on and develop their own scientific literacy and knowledge. The students will identify and analyse the processes underpinning scientific investigations as an essential element for science teaching and learning. There will be a focus on students exploring and investigating the literacies of science and pedagogies associated with effective teaching. Students will inquire into classroom practice to critically reflect upon current science teaching practices. | |||
