ERV2203 Culture and Issues in the Context of Place and Space

Description:

This unit introduces learners to the study of traditions, cultures, place and change, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous studies. Through the unit, learners will practise the critical literacy of geographic, cultural and meteorological map reading and map making. The unit will integrate peace studies, together with the contribution of cultural, geographic and historical perspectives to the construction of a sustainable future. A variety of teaching approaches and strategies will be modelled and practised. Forward planning for learning will be introduced. This unit is linked to work place practice and students will be required to connect S&E theory with their observations and experiences in school settings.
