ERV2202 Resources for Natural and Social Systems

Description:

This unit will explore resource issues in sustainable development and their impact on fragile ecological systems. Differing models of local, national and global decision making will be studied, giving particular consideration to consequences for social justice, democracy and ecological sustainability. The unit includes global education, values education and civics education. There will be a focus on social skills development through critically reflective learning processes and participative decision making in workshops. This unit is linked to work place practice. Students will be required to link the theory from the S&E units to their observations and teaching experiences in school settings.
