ERG2203 Diagnosis and Intervention in Specific Phases of Development

Description:

This unit is an introduction to diversity and inclusivity in the teaching and learning of literacy. Students will evaluate language assessment tools, materials and resources with regard to theoretical perspectives, authenticity, inclusivity, administration, scoring and interpretation. In addition, intervention methodology, strategies and resources will be reviewed, analysed and evaluated. Students will complete a case study using their knowledge of assessment tools and multiple methods of data collection in order to diagnose a child and design an intervention plan that targets his/her needs and enhances his/her language development.
