SWK4301 Social Work Theory and Practice 3

Description:
This unit builds upon the knowledge frameworks of professionally Accountable Practice and Personal Practice Models in Theory and Practice 1 and 2. The unit develops students’ capacities to utilise the application of prior knowledge across a micro, mezzo and macro level of analysis. The unit will place particular emphasis on applying a micro, mezzo and macro level of analysis to respond to social need within rural, regional and remote communities.

Students will develop knowledge and skills in applying micro, mezzo and macro levels of analysis to direct practice settings within regional, rural and remote communities. Students will develop skills in recognising, integrating and responding to concepts of diversity within society at both the macro, mezzo and micro level of service response.

On completion of the unit students will be expected to articulate and substantiate their Personal Practice Model as it relates to their practice in a regional, rural and remote practice setting in preparation for Field Work 2.
