SWK3102 Context and Diversity in Rural and Regional Practice

Description:
Rural, regional and remote communities consist of a wide range of culturally diverse peoples. By broadening the concept of culture beyond ethnicity, this unit explores the nature of this diversity within a rural context and how that context shapes people’s experiences and understandings of difference. The unit examines the ways that rurality is experienced by different groups and individuals. The unit also explores how social services and human service workers can respond to diversity in a rural, regional and remote context.
