In this unit students will be introduced to: the preparation of a program in mathematics education; the design of a sequence of lessons related to such a program; procedures for assessing mathematical competencies related to cognitive, process, affective and psychomotor objectives; the value of commercially prepared resources, both printed material and equipment (including calculators and computers) in developing mathematical ideas; and the role of language in mathematics learning. | |||
