This unit aims to develop professional competence in public and interpersonal communication with particular emphasis on conflict prevention and resolution. It will focus on situations complicated by power and authority differences. Topics covered will include listening skills, giving feedback, praise, criticism, orders and directions in an assertive manner; positive and negative aspects of conflict; and strategies for conflict resolution. | |||
