This unit provides students with knowledge of the neuroscience associated with developmental, acquired and degenerative neurogenic communication disorders. Students will be introduced to the theories and techniques associated with clinical neurological examination, neuroimaging and neuropsychological assessment specific to the disorders of sensorimotor integration, cognition and language. They will be taught how to critically evaluate the theoretical assumptions underlying management of developmental, acquired and degenerative communicative disorders. Full Unit Outline | |||
