Semester 1: Basic introduction to, and understanding of, the operational procedures of the television studio, together with an awareness of the roles played by studio personnel. An introduction to the television camera and control room. Students perform in all the roles. Semester 2: Students develop, through practice, an understanding of the components of television production, video-editing, programming and presentation; prepare segments for closed telecast; and compile ‘demo’ tapes.
