EDU4703 Educational Policy Studies

Description:
This unit is an introduction to education policy studies which is designed to enhance the student’s understanding of school-level policy-making so that they may become an effective participant as part of their role as teacher. The social, political and organisational contexts of the policy process and the competing conceptual frameworks are considered in the examination of contemporary education policy issues. Attention is given to the contribution of contextual factors such as pressure groups and national policies to school-level policy-making.
