Description:
This unit covers the philosophical foundations and accepted policy and practice of early childhood. The focus of the unit is on the growth of the child from 3-5 years, and the theories underpinning early childhood pedagogy. Management and administration of early childhood settings is a key focus. Guidelines and strategies for constructing integrated programs in a variety of early childhood settings are provided. The final continuous practicum facilitates transition to the early childhood profession.
